Norwegian 1970’s Leather Low Back Falcon Chair
Super cool Low Back Falcon Armchair in Tan Leather by Sigurd Ressell for Vatne Mobler.
Produced in 1971.
It would be fair to declare this low back Falcon chair by Norwegian designer Sigurd Ressell as a design classic
Sigurd Ressell drew design inspiration from the shape of a falcon's claw to create the iconic sculptured frame. The fabric and leather sling that drapes over the frame is held in place by hooks securely attached to the outer tips of the frame. The tan leather cushion then seamlesly nestles into the sling and attachs with two simple studs.
The falcon chair by Sigurd Russell is super cool and super comfortable. It's the perfect lounge chair to admire but also to slink and relax.
This particular piece is in very good condition.
The deep brown frame has been refinished whilst the leather cushion has been cleaned. We have made a conscious decision to no disturb the leather patina as it looks wonderful as is !
